Description: State of Wyoming is presently looking of Psychiatrist right now, this vacancy will be settled in Wyoming. For detail informations about this vacancy opportunity please read the description below. This is an M.D. Psychiatrist position. The purpose of which is to provide clinical evaluations and treatment for patients under the care of the Wyoming State Hospital.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Per! form admission and diagnostic evaluations on patients sent to the Wyoming State Hospital.
Provide ongoing assessments and treatment to patients admitted to the Wyoming State Hospital.
Lead a treatment team in the care of a designated number of patients at the Wyoming State Hospital.
Perform on-call clinical coverage at the Wyoming State Hospital as needed and directed by the hospital medical director.
Maintain all appropriate paperwork required for patient care at the Wyoming State Hospital in a timely manner.
Assist in follow up planning for the discharge of patients from the Wyoming State Hospital.
Maintain an active role in updating treatment plans on Wyoming State Hospital patients.
Perform appropriate collateral medical duties as assigned by the medical director.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Skills in psychiatric evaluation and treatment.
Ability to be a team leader and interact well w! ith the team.
Ability to be accommodating to changing! paradigms.
Understanding legal/psychiatric interface.
Knowledge of Hospital administrative and clinical practices, including policies and procedures, clinical psychiatry, basic medicine, infection control and crisis management.
Ability to manage and supervise from a collaborative posture.
Understand human and organizational dynamics.
Ability to adapt to changes in health care systems.
Ability to operate an electronic medical record.
Communication skills.
PREFERENCES:
Must be licensed (or eligible to be licensed) by the State Board of Medical Examiners to practice in Wyoming as a Psychiatrist. Preference given to applicants who have Psychiatry Specialty Training.
