Job Overview

Working under minimal supervision, and reporting to the Director, Distributed Work Experience, this role will support Wawanesa’s success by implementing innovative people initiatives that will enhance the employee experience in a hybrid work environment. This role will work with the internal stakeholders and committees to design, develop, and implement programs, tools and technology solutions that will help fuel productivity and foster collaboration. This role will also lead and implement project-based work related to policies, processes, HR related initiatives and regular obligations related to risk and compliance.



Job Responsibilities

  • Create and sustain the operational plans to deliver on our Distributed Work Experience (DWE) strategy
    • Lead the Distributed Work Innovation Committee and be responsible for support working groups in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Distributed Work Experience to maximize the employee experience and employee value proposition.
    • Analyze and assess qualitative and quantitative data to develop reporting that will determine the effectiveness of the employee experience within the DWE strategy, programs, tools and technology.
    • Create and monitor working group project plans, manage the quality of delivered solutions and ensure that project objectives are met.
    • Manage the Distributed Work team communication tools and proactively identify and bring forward trends in the spirit of continuous improvement
  • Lead corporate policy development and reviews by working with key internal stakeholders to develop, revise and implement corporate policies that fall under the People & Culture function, as assigned.
  • Collaborate with other members of the People & Culture team to implement and support HR project work, other initiatives and regular obligations related to risk and compliance.
  • Coach and educate internal stakeholders such as, HRBPs, HRSS, business leaders to support the distributed work experience, project-based work, and other initiatives; proactively listen to feedback and engage to address questions, issues, and implementation needs.
  • Research and build a solid understanding of future of work practices and principles, stay abreast of industry changes and emerging trends that could impact Wawanesa, our DWE and employee experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Technology, Human Resources, or related field
  • Eight or more years’ experience preferred in relevant roles or equivalent experience in the design and delivery of enterprise-wide processes and programs.
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor to facilitate effective change and improvements
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and navigate through ambiguity
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills adaptable to a variety of audiences, understanding and anticipate business needs
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills by managing the details of complex problems and delivering the results required
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive plans to bridge complex issues, monitors performance, and keeps work on track.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (word, excel and PowerPoint)
  • Formal project management training would be considered an asset
