Description: Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is hiring Psychiatric Assessment & Referral Clinician - PRN right now, this career will be settled in Wyoming. More details about this career opportunity kindly read the description below. ROLE SUMMARY

This provider, privileged and credentialed through CRMC Medical Staff Office, will provide an initial consultation and liason service to the Emergency Room and Medical Floors at the hospital on behalf of the psychiatry team at CRMC as ordered by the attending provider. Provides CMS and JC compliant emergent psychiatric assessment to include mental status evaluation, provisional diagnosis and recommendation for level of care.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for responding to the Emergency Department (15 minutes from referral), the Medical Floors (24 hours from referral), and the Behavioral Health Unit

2. Coordinate with the on call psychiatrist, the attending provider and the patients wider clinical team to assess and plan for patient treatment and disposition.

3. Document to statutory, regulatory and professional standards suficcient to be able to drop the appropriate Provider Fee Charges for consultations on behalf of CRMC.

4. Complete Clinical Precertification/Preauthorisation prior to admission as required by payers.

5. Coordination of clinical disposition to in patient psychiatrc care and facilitati on of discharge plan in partnership with the medical team to appropriately meet assessed psychiatric need if discharging from the Emergencty Room or the Medical floors.

6. Enact licensure obligations and responsibilities under Title 25 of the Wyoming Mental Health Statute

7. Complete and track productivity efforts as required.

8. Participate in appropriate professional development both through agency provided and independent means.

9. Participate in scheduled staffing, individual supervision, care review,diocumentation audit and observed practice and other quality assurance activities and support High Reliability in Healthcare perogatives.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Good communication skills with staff, cooperative attitude with peers and supervisor, as well as patients and physicians
  • The ability to evidence our True Care Behaviors at all times
  • Expertise in the three main areas of psychiat ric consultation: mental status, differential diagnosis, and risk assessment
  • Accept feedback and opportunities to learn and grow
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s Degree, or higher, in social work, psychology or related field
  • Licensed by the Wyoming Mental Health Professional Licensing Board as an LCSW,LPC or LMFT.
  • Two years experience in therapy or psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic intervention.
